The map above shows the bottom left section of the Botanic Gardens. All the maps will show the Restaurant and the Children's Playground in them, and on this map these are on the top right hand side.
A large section to the left of the main entrance features Australian natives. There are some towering ghost gums along with a variety of eucalyptus and acacia trees. A great place to show overseas visitors.
Bamboo Garden and Island Section

Above you can see a family having a picnic on this peaceful island, with the picturesque white bridge connecting the island to the Gardens.

The waterwise garden above has been planned using plants that do not need a lot of water, plus using an irrigation or watering system that minimises water usage. There are many plaques set amongst the garden explaining the uses of the many features.
More information on this can be obtained at the interpretation centre, and for any groups or schools who would like a thorough explanation of this garden, guided tours can be arranged. See the Interpretation Centre.
