ON THE BANKS OF THE MAJESTIC MURRAY RIVER

Ball Park Caravan Park is the ideal place to stop for convenient comfort on a quick trip or a home style base on an extended family holiday.

Situated on the banks of the Murray River, Ball Park is located within a short walk of the town centre with its country atmosphere and local fare.

The town boasts a range of restaurants and world class sporting and licensed clubs. The 27 hole championship golf course is a must for keen golfers, and for those not so keen, there is an indoor sporting complex featuring a gym, heated pool, squash and tennis courts.

Above you can see the magnificent view from the John Foord Bridge which spans the Murray River between Corowa and Wahgunyah. The magestic Murray River is flowing down from Albury on the right hand side, and the centre of the photo you can see a quiet lagoon which makes the ideal boat launching location, with its purpose built boat ramp and still water, and a great sand bar from which to swim or fish. On the left hand side of the photo you can see the Caravan Park nestling into the banks of the river.

The Corowa Sports and Citizens Club adjoins Ball Park and offers 38 bowling rinks. An olympic swimming pool also adjoins the park, and for the more adventurous, water sports such as skiing and canoeing are favourites with locals and visitors alike.

For the culturally minded, the Federation Museum provides a window to yesteryear and depicts Corowa's role in the Federation of the Australian States.

One of the greatest attractions of the area is the wide range of wineries, specialising in award winning fortified wines. There are more than 16 wineries in the region, and visitors are encouraged to sample the wines on offer at the cellar doors. Many of the wineries include gourmet restaurants offering local food, complimented by local wines. Buses are available for winery tours, or the more daring can opt for a horse and carriage or even a camel.
