This fully restored caravan is a 1940's Department of Main Roads contractors kitchen. It was driven or towed to where the road gang were working, and left there. Usually the cook would sleep in the van. This vehicle was later used as a drovers wagon.

The Yarrawonga Rowing Club commenced in 1884. When the club house was destroyed in a flood in 1917, the club closed and the money was held in trust until 1947 when the club reopened. Unfortunately a fire destroyed the clubrooms in 1973.
This rowing boat is called a Tub4. It was built for Geelong College by Fuller and Jerram. It was named LJC after L J Campbell, the Headmaster of Geelong College Prepatory for 25 years. This boat eventually became the property of Scotch College, who donated the boat to the Yarrawonga Rowing club after the disasterous fire of 1973.

Above you can see two sections of the museum which have been set up as they were at the turn of the century, a theatre complete with movie and audio equipment, and a turn of the century dining room fully equipped with furniture, cutlery and crockery.

Above are two more period settings, on the right is a blacksmiths shop, complete with furnace, bellows, anvil and a full set of tools and products from around the 1860's to 1890's.
Above left is the dreaded dentists surgery, with the basic electronic equipment of the 1930's and 40's.

In the photo above you can see a mechanised washing machine of around the 1920 period. In the background you can see a more conventional type.
